Information Provided upon Registration
We are required to collect information from all participants at the start of each class. This includes some personal information like the registrants name, email, date of birth, etc.
This information is kept on site in a secured location and digitally on a secured database with SSL encryption. This information is not available to any 3rd party unless required by law.
When required by regulation, we will send information to our training organizers (e.g., WorkSafeBC or Canadian Red Cross) in order to validate your certifications with these organizations. However, only the information required for your certification will be sent and are always sent via encrypted and secured data transfer.
All information collected from students must be retained for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with WorkSafeBC and Canadian Red Cross rules and regulations.
Banking and Transaction Information
When a transaction takes place on our website, some basic information is sent to us; Individual name, type of card used, approval or denial, authorization code, etc. We do not collect or store any of your sensitive credit card information. Sensitive information is kept secured by our transaction authorization provider (Square inc.). All online transactions are done via their secured system and sensitive information is never stored by Be Prepared First Aid Vancouver Island Inc.
When a transaction takes place at our location, via a point-of-sale terminal, Clover inc. will collect and retain information important to the transaction in accordance with all applicable laws. Be Prepared First Aid Vancouver Island Inc. will only retain redacted transactional information that is required for accounting, taxation, and invoicing purposes. No sensitive data, or customer card information, that is not required for accounting purposes, is retained by us.
