Can I take this course if I am pregnant or have physical limitations?
Yes. Please inform your instructor before the course begins. Accommodations can often be made to ensure you can participate safely.
What happens if my certification expires?

Do you offer private group training?
Yes. We can deliver Intermediate First Aid CPR C AED courses at your workplace, organization, school, or community group location throughout Vancouver Island and surrounding areas.
What if I fail the written exam?

What is with the new course name from Standard First Aid to Intermediate First Aid?
In 2024 the CSA (Canadian Standards Authority), which governs workplace first aid training, made several updates and changes to their guidelines. One recommendation was the align all workplace approved courses to the same naming system across all provinces and territories in Canada. Red Cross has now adopted these recommendations.
What will change with the course naming from Standard First Aid to Intermediate First Aid?
The course content will not change, you will still get the same comprehensive programing as before. Simply the naming system. Over the next several months all documentation, books, tools, certificates and other items will change over to the new name.
My employer insists that I need Standard First Aid, will I be able to take that program?
We understand that changes to course names can be confusing for individuals and businesses. We guarantee that only the name of the course has changed, but the essential content will not. If your employer requires the former certificate name, we ask them to call us and we can discuss options.
